Privacy Policy
The Baby Diary ("we", "us") is a free mobile app published in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what data we handle, how, and why. It is written in plain English on purpose.
Ask (AI companion)
When you use the Ask feature, the question you type, your baby's age, and a short summary of recent logs are sent to our backend to generate a response. We don't use this data to train models, and we don't keep it longer than is needed to provide the answer and basic abuse prevention.
Analytics
We use minimal, privacy-respecting product analytics to understand which features are useful. We don't include personally identifying information or content from your diary in analytics events.
Children's data
The Baby Diary is used by parents and caregivers to log information about babies and young children. The account holder is always an adult. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children.
Your UK GDPR rights
You have the right to access, correct, export and delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Email us at hello@thebabydiary.com and we'll help. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you think we've got something wrong.
