Logging feeds at 3am: a parent's guide
A few small habits that make tracking feel effortless when you're half-asleep, one-handed, and trying not to wake the baby.
At 3am, fewer taps win. We designed every common log to be reachable with one thumb and one open eye.
Start with the timer. Tap +, choose feed, pick a side. The timer keeps going on your Lock Screen — no need to keep the app open. If you doze off, you can adjust the time later.
Skip the detail. Quick logs (wet nappy, started sleep) take a single tap. You can always come back in the morning and add notes if you want to.
Trust the timeline. When you wake up unsure which side was last, it's right there at the top of Today. No scrolling, no maths.
And if you forgot to log? That's fine. The diary catches up with you — it doesn't keep score.
